Warranty - (For domestic use)
This warranty only covers the original purchase of the product. It is important t note that furniture changes with use. Please note that your furniture may feel different from the time of delivery, to that of the showroom model that you sat on. Foam and Fibres will take time to accommodate to your body shape.
To ensure that your furniture remains in good condition we suggest that occasional rotation of your furniture and cushion occurs. By rotating seat cushion and back cushion were possible it promotes even wear to your furniture therefore giving it longer lifespan.
Spring system in seats and recliner mechanisms at first may feel stiff but with time they will become free and softer.
Covers
Fabric and leather are purchased by us from various fabric mills and tanneries. Fabric and leather from all suppliers are covered by their own warranties. That warranty should be explained to the customer on the point of sale, by the sales staff. Fabric and leather care should be referred to the label attached to your lounge suite. For more specific care instructions you should refer to the manufacture of your chosen cover, which can be obtained from the retailer where you purchased your lounge suite.
Cushion Fillings
Foam fillings and fibres will be covered by the guarentee of the supplier. Copy of their warranty is sent out with all new furniture. For a copy please contact AGEM Furniture. Cushion fillings and soft fibre conpact down and occasionally need to be plumped up regularly to resdistribute the fibre.
Structure
AGEM Furniture guarantees the structure frame to the origional purchaserof the furniture for 10 years. This warranty covers manufacturing faults and/or defective materials. In the event that there is a warrantable issue with the frame, AGEM will replace or repair, at AGEM's discretion. This warranty excludes soft components of the furniture such as zips, elastic webbing quilting and dust covers, fillings or any other parts.
Seating Suspensions
AGEM Furniture guarentees the workmanship for a period of one year. This applies to stitching, upholstry and all other part not specifically mentioned. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part only. If such an event occurs within one year of the origional sale date, AGEM will replace or repair the parts at AGEM direction.
Sofa Bed
A SPECIAL NOTE ON SOFA BEDS: Do not attempt to move the sofa with the bed whilst it is open as this may cause damage to the products and can pull the mechanism out of allgnment. Any damaged caused to the sofa bed due to improper use will void the warranty. When closing the sofa bed firstly remove pillows, blankets, sheets or other bed linen.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover wear and tear or apply to furniture whis has been subject to abuse or improper care, or act of God. We caution the consumer against improper cleaning, abuse, negilgence, use of chemical products, and in the case of leather, exposing the leather to direct sunlight, extreme heat, or bright lights such as sun lamps. This warranty does not cover spills such as acid, solvents, dyes, or other corrosive chemicals, inks, paint, body fluids or animals.
Make A Claim
When making a claim under this warranty, the holder should contact the retailer from whom the purchase was made originally. If in the event the retailer is no longer operating please contact us direct (03) 9357 6656. AGEM Furniture will repair or replace any of its furniture products determined by an authorised representative of AGEM Furniture to contain manufacturing defects at its own dscretion. If identical materials are not available at the time of repair, AGEM Furniture reserves the right to substitute materials of equal quality. The warranty covers labor, shipping and handling costs for 12 months from the original purchase date. After the 12 months period, while the product is covered by any other aspects of the warranty, all transport charges shall be pre-paid both ways by purchaser, unless otherwise notified in writing by AGEM Furniture.
Our goods come withguarantee that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entilted to a replacement or refund for major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entilted to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure.
